Baton Rouge Employment-Based Visa Lawyer

At Derren S. Johnson & Associates, we help individual and corporate clients navigate the immigration laws and achieve legal immigration status in both employment-based and family-based immigration situations.

At Derren S. Johnson & Associates, we advise individuals and employers on all aspects of employment-based immigration, including:

  • Temporary employment-based visas (B1, B2, E1, E2, H, L, O, and P visas)
  • Permanent employment-based visas (EB1, EB2, and EB3 visas)
  • Green Card Lottery visas
  • H-1B visas
  • PERM
  • Labor certification issues and First, Second, and Third Preference classifications

Employment visas are nonimmigrant visas that allow foreign nationals to work in the United States for a limited period of time. Employment visas can be difficult to obtain and usually require a United States employer to file a petition with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service. There are some that may be obtained by individual foreign nationals to work in the United States.

The immigration and naturalization practice at Derren S. Johnson & Associates is headed by attorney Laurence Maginn. As an immigrant from Northern Ireland, he has personally experienced the challenges involved in navigating the immigration process. He is a long-time member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Further information about employment-based immigration and permanent residency can be found at our Immigration Information Center and on our immigration website at www.immigrationunitedstates.com.
